Breastfeeding Support Smoothie

Let’s be honest—early motherhood is a beautiful whirlwind. Between feedings, healing, and trying to remember the last time you showered, nutrition has to work hard and fast. This smoothie is designed to support lactation, replenish your mineral stores, and give you a much-needed hit of stable energy without the blood sugar spike.
It’s rich in galactagogues (milk-boosting ingredients), healthy fats, bioavailable protein, and the micronutrients your body needs to recover and nourish you both.
Ingredients (1 serving)
1 cup full-fat coconut milk or whole milk if tolerated – healthy fats to support hormones + milk production
2 tbsp hemp seeds – rich in GLA, a fat that supports prolactin (the milk-making hormone)
1 tbsp almond butter or tahini – zinc, calcium, and sustained energy
1 small ripe banana – natural sweetness + potassium for hydration
1 scoop collagen peptides or grass-fed protein powder – critical for tissue repair + maintaining milk supply
1/2 tsp ground fenugreek or 1 capsule (opened) – traditional galactagogue
1/2 tsp cinnamon – helps stabilize blood sugar
Optional: 1 Medjool date for extra sweetness and iron
Handful of spinach – gentle greens for minerals + fiber
1/2 cup ice or frozen zucchini – for creaminess without dilution
Directions
Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender.
Blend until smooth and creamy.
